Sony Foundation Australia is the charitable arm of the Sony Group of Companies operating in Australia including Sony Australia, Sony Music, Sony Pictures Releasing, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Sony ATV Music Publishing and Sony DADC. We collaborate with Sony’s business partners and Australians to create a ripple effect of change in the lives of young Australians who are falling through the gap.
Sony Foundation Australia aims to improve young Australian’s health and wellbeing through positive experiences and social change in areas underfunded by society. We do this by uniting the Sony companies, their business partners, and our fellow Australians to raise funds that help improve the lives of young Australians suffering from severe illness, disability and homelessness. This collaborative community has the unique ability to create far-reaching long term solutions that have the strength to change people’s lives.
Sony Foundation Australia, backed by the Sony group of companies in Australia and our corporate partner network, has raised over $33 million for our youth causes since its inception in 1998.
We are fuelled by the Sony value of creating “communities of interest” that deliver ‘Kando’ – a sense of excitement, wonder or emotion that is born at the intersection of people and their dreams to establish a rich and fulfilling society. Today, Sony Foundation Australia (hereinafter referred to as 'Sony Foundation') brings this to life through core programs such as our You Can Youth Cancer Centres and Children’s Holiday Camps, as well as through our Corporate Partner network.
