Our mission at Sony Foundation Australia is to improve the health and wellbeing of young Australians in need. We take on the big issues, ones that are often overlooked by society. Through facilitated philanthropy and collaboration, we endeavour to deliver social change and positive experiences to empower our next generation. We seek to be the voice for our young people, the champion of the cause, and the answer to the gap in the system.
How We Do It
Sony Foundation brings together the unique assets of the Sony companies, and through the power of entertainment, technology and creativity we inspire our partners and the public to raise significant funds for youth causes.
The Sony companies contribute to the administrative costs of the Foundation, allowing the net proceeds of funds raised to be distributed in full to all of our youth-focused causes. As well as the backing of the Sony companies, Sony Foundation is also supported by a number of dedicated and passionate corporate partners including some of Australia’s most loved and recognised brands and businesses. The achievements of the Foundation elucidate the Foundation’s unique position to deliver on its vision to support Australia’s young people.

Closing the gap in youth cancer care through the establishment of specialised You Can Centres around Australia, research and support services.
Youth Off The Streets (YOTS)
Breaking the cycle of youth homelessness, disadvantage and abuse through the funding of youth rehabilitation and development programs
Children’s Holiday Camp Program
Holiday camps for children with disability, providing much needed respite for their families, a holiday of a lifetime for the children and a life-changing experience for their teenage carers.
Musicians Making A Difference (MMAD)
Using the power of music to engage, inspire, educate and empower at risk young people to make their lives remarkable.
Sony Foundation Australia is a company limited by guarantee and registered under the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991, and is exempt from income and sales tax. All donations are fully tax deductible.
