Sony Foundation invites you to get CONNECTED!

Our mission is to contribute to the advancement of the Australian community by assisting its youth and fostering their talents. You can help us to achieve this goal.

Sony Foundation’s CONNECT program is run in conjunction with Youth Off The Streets, You Can, Musicians Making a Difference.

Below are our volunteering activities that are available to employees of Rainbow and Gold Corporate Partners.

Activities

Don Bosco Cooking with Youth Off The Streets (Sydney)

Preparing a meal for a group of young people residing at the Don Bosco Home Crisis accommodation. You and your team will bring along the ingredients to prepare a meal for 6-8 young people. You are welcome to join the young people for dinner.

TIME: 5.30pm – 7:00pm | LOCATION: Don Bosco Home, 325 Marrickville Road, Marrickville | VOLUNTEERS: 2 – 4

Food Van with Youth Off The Streets (Sydney)

Running the YOTS Food Van for a night. You and your team will work with experienced team leaders to serve meals to the homeless community of Darlinghurst. You will prepare a dish at Don Bosco Home before departing to distribute the food at Green Park.

TIME: 8.30pm – 11.30pm | LOCATION: Start and finish at Don Bosco House - 325 Marrickville Road, Marrickville | VOLUNTEERS: 2 – 3 

Lunch & Learn with Youth Off The Streets (Sydney)

Support disadvantaged or homeless school students studying at YOTS School Key College. You and your group will host a work shop to assist a group of young people to develop basic skills which will assist them in entering the workface, such as searching online for a job or structuring a resume. You will then have the opportunity to share lunch.

TIME: 12:00pm – 2:00pm (flexible) | LOCATION: Key College, Redfern OR your office | VOLUNTEERS: 3 – 6 

MMAD STAR’s Mentoring Session with Musicians Making a Difference (Sydney)

Your session will launch a group of vulnerable young people into the MMAD STAR program, a 6 month intensive development program providing them with support and opportunity. During the session, you will be paired up in small groups and participate in a number of motivational workshops and activities run by the MMAD Crew (youth workers) who facilitate the session.

TIME: A pre-arranged time during work hours | LOCATION: Sony Music Office | VOLUNTEERS: 6 – 10 

‘4Ward Events

Take part in Sony Foundation’s major events as part of our volunteer crew. You will be part of the action, helping with fundraising and basic event support on the day. As a bonus, you will get to see all the Sony artist’s perform live! No experience required
