I am married with 3 teenage girls and have been teaching at Canberra Grammar now for 14 years. I teach Maths and run a Pastoral Care House of about 100 students. Nine years ago, two of us travelled to Riverview in Sydney to spend a day at their Sony Children’s Holiday Camp. We returned to Canberra challenged and excited and set about encouraging the rest of the school community to get on board. I work with a dedicated committee of parents, ex companions, staff and nurses and we are thrilled to be preparing for our 9th camp in December. Working on the Advisory Committee has helped to connect us all and share some great ideas and resources and we hope that holiday camps will continue to spread across Australia.
