'Catch a Falling STAR' goes virtual in 2020

01 Jun 2020

As COVID-19 affected communities across Australia, young people from the Sony Foundation funded MMAD’s ‘Catch A Falling STAR’ program entered lockdown. This didn’t stop our STARs starting their journey on a life-changing experience, as volunteers from our Corporate Partner network came together to mentor the latest group of young people via virtual sessions.

SHOUT out to employees from Sony Foundation’s Corporate Partners Sony Music Entertainment Australia, Sony Australia, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Crosssmark, who volunteered their time to share their experiences in a series of professional Workshops, during these unprecedented times.

"I’ve really enjoyed volunteering with MMAD. It’s a wonderful program, and the youth participants and mentors are all so inspiring and talented. It’s been a very rewarding experience to see the difference that giving just a little bit of your time and effort can make - especially to young people who haven’t always had the easiest go in life. I would highly recommend getting involved if you can."
